- Treating Bunions
Vinegar and cosmetic creams can dry painful and ugly bunions, but when these aren’t available or too expensive, a banana will also do the trick. Rub the inner side of the banana peel on the affected area or on the skin and leave it for the night.
- Soothing stings and bites
The banana peel contains sugars that help sooth a mosquito bite, as well as the itch and redness that following it.
- A solution for Aphids
Aphids attack your flowers and garden. To prevent this happening, place some banana peels under the base of the plant.
- Eases heartburn
The anti-oxidants in banana help in relieving heartburn.
- Tenderizing meat
To tenderize meat or fish while thawing, wrap it in banana leaves. While cooking, adding a ripe banana softens the meat.
- Relieving PMS pain
The B vitamins found in the banana regulate the blood sugar levels, which directly affects the general feeling and mood. The fruit also contains potassium which ceases the swelling and the liquid build-up.
- Make that hangover go away
Post drinking, boil a cup of water and put 2 banana peels in it. Drink and cooling.
- Treating bloody hemorrhoids
Eat two steamed soft bananas with the peel twice a day on an empty stomach, morning and evening, until relieved from hemorrhoids.
