Quick and easy snacking recipes!!: A few quick fix snacks that can be consumed at work and take under 5 minutes of prep time. Look below for recipes:

  • Khakra Chat

Perfect balanced meal of Protein, Complex carbohydrates, Phytonutrients from vegetables and herbs and spices

Serving size: 1no

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 whole wheat Khakras
  • 1 tablespoons finely chopped coriander leaves
  • 15 grams moong sprouts
  • 10 grams finely chopped onions
  • 10 grams finely chopped tomatoes
  • 1/2 tsp chaat masala powder
  • 1/4th tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/4th tsp roasted cumin powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice

 METHOD

  • In a large bowl combine all the ingredients for the topping and set aside.
  • Place the khakra pieces on a serving plate; sprinkle the salad mixture evenly on the khakra
  • Finally garnish with coriander leaves and serve the Khakra Chaat

Energy- 258kcal .Carbohydrates-14g, Protein-8g, Fat-5g

Corn Bhel

  • Good Protein snack and contains good amount of fibre to help promote satiety and prevent hunger pangs

Serving size: 1 no

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 Tbsp Corn
  • 15 grams Onion
  • 15 grams Carrot
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp Puffed rice

METHOD

  1. Toss all the ingredients together and sprinkle it with lemon juice

Energy-110 Kcal, Carbohydrates-21 g, Protein-9 g, Fat-1 g

Egg Salad on Whole Wheat Bread

Serving Size: 1no

  • Finger Licking Protein rich snack that can boost brain function and also provide sustained release of energy

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 Boiled egg
  • 50 grams Low fat yogurt
  • 1 tbsp Oregano
  • 1 tsp flax/ sesame seeds
  • 1 tsp pepper powder
  • 40 grams (2 slices) whole wheat bread

METHOD

  • Mash the eggs and add to it yogurt, oregano and pepper powder
  • Spread the mixture on the whole wheat bread and serve
